Editorial-style food photography

In my free time, I combine my love for baking and photography. This project is a compilation of photos I’ve taken of my creations, inspired by the clean, polished style of cookbooks and editorials.

The Challenge

Since my kitchen didn’t match the minimalist, editorial style I envisioned, I had to create a small, temporary set that was easy to assemble and disassemble after each shoot.

The Solution

I got creative by building a simple set using a white table and poster board as a backdrop, relying mostly on natural daylight. To enhance the scene, I added props from home, achieving a minimalist look while adding depth and visual interest.

Key Takeaways

This project helped me sharpen my eye for detail and composition. Since I was photographing still objects, I had full control over the lighting and backdrops, allowing me to perfect each shot.
